Mr and Mrs Psomas - Center Stage

March 30th, 2019 not only started our wedding season, it started the beginning of Carla and James’ being husband and wife. One thing we’ve learned is the perfect weddings are never about what your centerpieces are, how big your cake is, what food is served, or even what your dress looks like. We all seem to think that those are the most important parts of the wedding, but what really matters is how filled with love your wedding is. Couples deep in love and so filled with happiness create the perfect wedding. Carla and James’ wedding was perfect in every aspect, the venues were absolutely stunning, her dress was meant for her, and the weather cooperated for the most part. Everything was beautiful, but even more beautiful than all of that was the abundance of love every you went.

Carla and James met while working at a movie theatre and formed a wonderful friendship prior to dating, and it really shows! I remember meeting with them a couple weeks before their big day and Carla had not a stress in the world. It’s not too often we see a cool, calm and collective bride so close to the wedding. It was apparent that Carla and James understood the true meaning of a wedding - being able to spend the rest of your life with your best friend - and that alone made their wedding perfect.

We started off the day capturing them getting ready. When Jake returned back to me where the girls were getting ready, I asked how it went with the guys. He said “It was really good, they’re really chill and just sat around drinking coffee.” I thought that was adorable because that’s exactly how Carla spent her morning. Just hanging out, relaxing and making memories.

Their ceremony took place at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Aliquippa. Their ceremony was filled with tears, laughter and more tears. It was jam packed of beautiful moments that will be sure to tug at your heart strings.

Our original portrait location idea got tossed because of the rainy forecast, so we headed over to Beaver gazebo. It ended up being the perfect spot and we were blessed with very minimal rain after all!

Their reception took place at Center Stage in Monaca. It’s been a few years since we shot there and were impressed with the new additions to the venue. The lights, uplighting, the ceiling decor was all breathtaking.

The dance floor was alive all night and we had a blast capturing everyone having the best time! Thank you Mr and Mrs Psomas, and all of their friends and family, for being phenomenal to work with! It was our pleasure and great honor to be a part of your beautiful day! We know you will have a lifetime of immense happiness!

THE MAKING OF THEIR RING SHOT

The ring shot always requires creativity and out of the box thinking. You need to be able to use the resources around you and think quickly. We first knew we wanted to incorporate the flowers but the background was lacking something. In the corner were two light up trees, so I decided to move them a little into the camera’s line of sight to create this!
