We love hearing about all the future plans our senior clients have. We love seeing our brides & grooms grow and build their lives together. We love staying in touch with them and their families. We realized we know SO much about them, and think it’s time we let you all get to know us! We think it’s important to have a close relationship with our clients and want you to feel comfortable around us during your photography experience. 

SO, WHO IS E&J PHOTOGRAPHERS?

We are Erica and Jake! We are a very ambitious 20-something year old couple who absolutely loves photography. We are goal setters. We are innovators. We are driven by the desire to capture every fleeting moment in the most unique and bold way possible. We spend most of our time talking about how to improve and expand our business. Romantic dinners out usually turn into business meetings. Good morning texts     contain reminders of tasks to complete for the day. Every decision we make is with the best interest of the business and our clients. 

HOW DID E&J PHOTOGRAPHERS   START?

Funny story. It was by complete accident. We went to the same high school. Never once had a conversation, but always had this interest in each other. I started photography my senior year of high school, taking senior pictures of my friends. I went on to study Business Management in college, and Jake studied Graphic Design. I was a year into my program when Jake contacted me (for the first time) asking if I would take some portraits of him for his website. I immediately told him yes, we set up a time and place, and the rest is history. Except of course, we never actually got around to taking those headshots. His session was replaced with dinner where we immediately connected. (Apparently this was his ploy the whole time and never had any interest in headshots). We eventually put our creativeness and knowledge together to form E&J Photographers. It was random. It was spur of the moment. It was the best decision we’ve ever made. 

We’re the complete opposite of each other, but at the same time we’re the same person. We’re very laid back. We spend a lot of our free time cuddled up on the couch binge watching Netflix. Where are our Breaking Bad, Shark Tank, Bates Motel, Supernatural and Criminal Minds fans at?! At some point during your session/meetings with us, you’ll most likely hear about our cat, Grayson. He’s our baby who is just a little bit too spoiled. Jake is the geek side of things. He’s slightly  obsessed with technology. He’s a whiz at editing and super cool lighting techniques. Erica is more on the creative ideas/customer service side. Together, we make a super awesome duo!
